Originally this article was going to highlight a recent World Health Organization action plan. That plan takes aim at global alcohol consumption and pays special attention to how alcohol affects children, minors, and pregnant women. Scrolling through the dredges of Twitter in the middle of the night I came across a particularly salacious headline, “WHO says women of childbearing age should be BANNED from drinking alcohol.”
